The American University in Cairo's Career Center is a pioneer in the region in the area of university career education, employer relations and recruitment. It was established in 1991 to become the first university career center providing comprehensive career services in the Middle East. AUC Career Center offers a variety of services to help undergraduate students, alumni and graduate students identify their career goals and paths, as well as gain work experience while and after studying at AUC.

AUC Career Center Prepares US Scholars for their Careers
On February 5 and 6, AUC Career Center welcomed around 120 students from various universities around Egypt as part of the USAID Scholars Activity Project. AUC Career Center provided training as part of this project consisting of two modules: the Self-Assessment Module and the Job Search Module, with each module taking place on a separate day.
AUC Student to Join First Cohort of Landmark Scholarship Program in Canada
Mechanical engineering undergraduate student Reem Mahmoud is one of 30 global recipients of the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. The scholarships are the result of a landmark C$200 million gift (about E£4,4 billion) in 2019 by John and Marcy McCall MacBain, the second-largest single donation in Canadian history.
AUC’s 71st Employment Fair: Back On Campus!
November 5, 2022, witnessed the first come back on-campus AUC Employment Fair, after two years of online fairs. This event was the 71st Employment Fair hosting 88 on-ground booths of national, regional and international employers. Bringing the event back to its face-to-face mode was particularly important as it revived AUC’s traditions of having the fair as an on-ground experience where students and employers meet, interact and engage in a real setting.
