In 2021, El Maghraby completed an internship at the three-Michelin-star restaurant Aponiente in Cádiz, Spain. She has since worked across the culinary field as a menu development consultant, casual-dining food and beverage operations manager, application chef in a flavour house, and culinary manager in a cloud-kitchen company.

El Maghraby is currently a sous chef (R&D) at Zooba Restaurants, where she leads culinary innovation and menu development across Egypt, the GCC and New York City. She is passionate about using food to tell stories, spark creativity and bring people together.
