Accounting and Tax
Heba Fouad is a senior tax manager with over 15 years of tax consultancy experience in the Middle East and the United Kingdom, the Big 4, as well as the Egyptian Ministry of Finance. She has diverse experience in client service management, providing taxation and business advisory services to both local and multinational corporations in Egypt and the United Kingdom in areas encompassing tax policy, international tax, tax compliance and non-tax projects with the United Kingdom (DFID) and the HRMC. Her experience includes providing consultations covering international tax aspects (tax structuring, VAT, bilateral tax treaties analysis and BEPS package implementation in Egypt) and tax implications for various multinational groups across several industries.
Her previous role was the technical assistant to the Egyptian vice minister of finance for tax policy and then reporting to the minister of finance with a focus on international tax relations. She has contributed to a range of tax policy and tax reform projects and was the ministry’s key contact, working closely on tax funds with international organizations (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, International Monetary Fund and others) as well as various tax administration and capacity-building projects. She assisted the vice-minister in implementing the Egypt Tax Vision 2030 for Egyptian Tax Reform. She was a delegate by a ministerial mandate representing Egypt on the Fourth Inclusive Framework on Basic Erosion and Profit Shifting in the OECD premises. Fouad has led a project submitted to the EC-Directorate-General. She is a member of the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce in London.
Mayar Nabarawy is a manager in the risk practice field in Egypt with more than six years of experience. She has conducted high-level diagnostic reviews, as well as internal audits, compliance reviews, External Quality Assurance Services (EQAS), Principles and Practices Board (P&P) and third-party verifications.

Ahmed Ebeid is a senior associate at McKinsey and Company’s Cairo office. He is a generalist consultant, advising clients in diverse industries on a broad range of topics, such as strategy, operations, and organization.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Ebeid spent ten years in the oil and gas and biomedical engineering fields. At Tercel Oilfield Products, he designed patented drill string tools that were deployed in the Middle East, the North Sea, and different parts of the Americas. At the Magdy Yacoub Heart Foundation, he created patient-specific digital twins for heart disease diagnosis and treatment and researched materials crucial for the development of next-gen prosthetic heart valves.
Ebeid holds an MSc from Georgia Tech and a BSc from The American University in Cairo (AUC), both in mechanical engineering.
Ahmed El Sawah is a regional team leader in the Middle East Client Capabilities Network hub with more than seven years of experience. He leads and mentors more than 35 colleagues across five countries in the region and leads proprietary asset and solution development and deployment. El Sawah is also part of McKinsey’s economic development practice with a high focus on analytics-driven sector prioritization, strategy, governance and delivery and the future of Work. He has also co-authored McKinsey’s Opportunity Youth report.
Karim Aziz is an associate partner in the Middle East Office and is currently based in Cairo. He serves clients in the financial services industry, focusing on strategy, digital and advanced analytics transformations. Prior to McKinsey, Aziz worked at the Minister of Finance’s Office and pursued his graduate studies in Economics in the UK.
Mahmoud Mostafa is a passionate researcher with more than seven years of experience in energy transition topics. With a background in oil and Gas, Mostafa believed that the future was green and decided to travel to Germany to kickstart his sustainability journey. He holds a PhD in carbon capture technologies, where he worked alongside industrial partners to simulate a P2X pathway. The technology utilizes captured carbon dioxide and hydrogen to produce synthetic aviation fuel. His research covered various additional energy topics such as biomass utilization, renewables and low-carbon fuels. Currently, Mostafa is a senior analyst at McKinsey and Company, working alongside clients to achieve their sustainability and low-carbon ambitions.

Risk Management
Nadine Adel is a risk management analyst at AXA Egypt. She has experience in several risk management areas, including insurance risks, financial risks, operational risks and risk appetite. In her role, she challenges the business and presents second opinions to senior management. With only two years of experience, Adel has important responsibilities in the company, such as reporting to senior management as well as managing more junior staff and interns.
Adel graduated with highest honors from the Actuarial Science program with minors in business administration and economics at The American University in Cairo (AUC) in 2021. She has three exams from the Society of Actuaries (SOA) under her belt and is planning to become an associate within the next year. She focuses on her personal development through training, such as the Forward program by McKinsey, and conferences, such as the Arab Actuarial Conference and Enhancing Risk Assessment Workshop. Adel loves to spend her free time making handmade products such as candles and earrings.
Sustainable Finance
After studying business administration in finance at AUC, Mariam Soliman focused her attention on how business activity can be used to develop communities and protect nature and how to embed sustainability principles in our economy. She is currently part of the sustainable finance team at Egypt’s largest private sector bank, Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB).
Her drive led her to work with a diverse range of people and organizations, such as organic farmers and food and beverage companies focusing on sustainable and ethical supply chains. She focused on governance and policy-making through working with the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development in Egypt. Lastly, she worked with development agencies and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) international developmental agencies, focusing on sustainable industrial areas and business associations.
A seasoned banker with diverse exposure in sustainable finance, corporate banking, investment banking, equity investment, and privatization, in addition to credit and investment capacity building and developmental projects. Closed sizable corporate, investment banking and equity investment deals, Initial public offerings (IPO) and Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). Was present in credit approving committees and was a board member in several companies in diverse sectors of the economy. Was responsible for the credit course of CIB and other credit and investment training programs. She holds a BSc in statistics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, Cairo University, minoring in Economics, and is credit certified by the credit course of CIB, based on the Chase credit course.

AI Automation
Mohamed Sherif is an automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) senior supervisor at Vodafone. He has nine years of experience in the tech industry, with a focus on automation. Sherif holds a Bachelor of engineering degree in computer engineering from Cairo University and got his MBA from Rome Business School.
Mohamed ElBahaay has over 17 years of experience in the telecom industry, playing various roles across network operations, engineering, and digitalization functions. He is recognized as a subject matter expert in AI and data analytics, responsible for developing innovative solutions for network digital transformation. He is skilled at applying AI and Machine Learning to improve network performance and enable smart data-driven decision-making.
Architecture
Hala Saleh graduated in 2000 from The American University in Cairo with a degree in mechanical engineering. She worked in the oil and gas industry as a project manager. From there, she moved her way up into business development. In 2005, Saleh pursued her second degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Houston and completed the degree with the highest honors in 2009.
During her course of education, Saleh was awarded first place in several national design competitions. From 2007-2009, Saleh was vice president of the American Society for Interior Designers (ASID) student Houston chapter. In June 2009, Saleh earned her LEED accreditation from the United States Green Building Council and introduced the concept of green buildings in Egypt in its early phases to investors of various sorts and lobbied the cause with passion.
Currently, her firm, Sustainable Solutions, is set up in partnership with Shaker Group, the largest electromechanical firm in the Middle East has completed LEED-certified buildings across the healthcare, educational and recreational sectors in Egypt. Saleh has a proven track record in profit and loss (P&L) leadership and commercialization. She has led teams in small, medium and large-size private companies in Egypt and managed growth cycles in declining markets. Her experience endows her with the kind of real-life, hands-on skillset that allows her to endeavor opportunities in different industries.
Saleh is always keen on extending her knowledge to the community through holding workshops and giving lectures at conferences that support entrepreneurs from different backgrounds in and out of the design industry. In addition, she is always demystifying Egypt to non-Egyptians through the articles she writes for Egypt Today magazine. As an extension of her support to the community, Saleh is an active board member of two; El Joud and Kol Share Fi Belady and is also a member of the Women President Organization (WPO) in Houston, USA.

Aya Hesham Shalaby is an accomplished, dedicated and results-driven professional with more than eight years of extensive experience, with demonstrated skills in pricing, operations, order management, customer interfacing and vendor relations.

Deena Gergis is an award-winning data science expert with more than 13 years of experience in the field. Gergis' ultimate purpose is to offer a better quality of life to people using Artificial Intelligence (AI). During the first half of her career in academia, she researched Machine Learning (ML) algorithms in cancer research. During the second half of her career in industry, she has successfully helped multiple multinational companies in Germany to apply ML to develop cutting-edge products. Gergis is currently an expert data scientist at McKinsey and Company. In her current role, she combines the best of academic and industrial data science to serve clients all over the Middle East.

George Victor Samy graduated from the faculty of engineering at Ain Shams University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineering and mechanics. He has been working in the renewable energy field since 2011. Samy is currently leading the technical team at Infinity Energy.
Adham Mohamed Elkhayat holds a Bachelor of Science in mechatronics and robotics engineering from the Egyptian Russian University in 2019. He has been working as a research and development engineer at Infinity Energy for three years. Elkhayat designed and implemented the complete product development for an off-grid solar bench system. He also worked as a solar design engineer, producing layouts, single-line diagrams and technical documentation for various-sized solar power plants.

Construction Management
Hesham Elghamrawy first became acquainted with the energy industry 16 years ago when he worked as a summer intern for three consecutive years at one of the major oil and gas production fields in the Gulf of Suez in Egypt. This led to his professional career beginning as a construction engineer supporting oil and gas operations and projects in the Western Desert fields in Egypt.
His professional career spanned greenfield and brownfield projects across the oil and gas value chain (upstream, midstream, and downstream), with increasing responsibilities in project engineering, construction management, and business development. Elghamrawy has been working for Bechtel in Egypt for almost 7 years and currently holds the position of business development manager for the Energy Global Business unit in Egypt.
In 2016, he joined Bechtel as a Piping Field Engineer in the brownfield facility, Giza Fayoum, of the bp West Nile Delta gas development project in Alexandria, Egypt. A few months later, he was promoted to be the deputy lead piping field engineer of the Giza Fayoum facility, which started operation in February 2019. Then, he joined the Raven facility team as a Systems Champion, leading the handover efforts till its mechanical completion in July 2019. Before joining Bechtel, He held several positions in different brownfield and greenfield projects related to the oil and gas industry in Egypt. Elghamrawy holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical power engineering from Zagazig University and is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration degree from Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh Business School.

Economic Development
Mohamed Abdel Aziz Youssef is the chairman and CEO of Dcode Economic and Financial Consulting. He brings 22 years of experience in developing and implementing policies and strategies in the public and private sectors to grow and enhance the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) sector and promote entrepreneurship in Egypt and other MENA countries. He specializes in private sector development and is a renowned figure in SME development in Egypt. His network covers all types of stakeholders in that area. Following more than ten years in government, he has spent the last ten years in the private sector. Since 2014, he has led Dcode EFC’s work on Value-Chain Analysis, PSD, SME development, microfinance, and entrepreneurship and supervised market analysis studies in different sectors, including Food and Beverage, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Information and communications technology (ICT) and waste management. He has a track record of leading assignments that included market assessments, market system analyses, as well as value chain analyses of diverse sectors and subsectors (such as tomato, palm dates, medicinal and aromatic plants, dairy products, waste management, furniture, white goods, cotton, textiles and RMG).
Before his current post, Youssef headed the Policy Unit in the Social Fund for Development for two years. His former position was assistant deputy minister in the Egyptian Ministry of Finance, where he headed the Taxi Replacement National Project and supervised its implementation. From 2006 - 2008, he was the manager of the Small and Medium Enterprise Policy (SMEPol) development project, a joint project between the Ministry of Finance and the Canadian International Development Agency.
Youssef studied economics at The American University in Cairo. He earned his master’s degree in international development from the University of Bath, UK, and is currently a candidate for a Doctorate in policy research and practice from the University of Bath, UK.
Education Development
Christine Safwat is an Egyptian with more than 14 years of experience in K-12 and higher education, mainly in Academia and education management. Safwat believes in the power of learning and in the change that could be possible through educating the new generation. She is an education management executive who has expertise in impact evaluation, research, strategic planning, business strategies, organizational sustainability, organizational development, and harmonizing people and processes.
She is currently the executive director of Educate Me Foundation, an organization aspiring to give access to high-quality education to every child by inspiring them to become lifelong learners. She was on the RISE Egypt fellowship from 2015 to 2016 and was recognized as one of the top 20 young leaders in Africa in 2017. She became the first Egyptian to ever become a member of the Harambe Entrepreneur Alliance. Safwat has also been selected as a WISE Voice Learner for Program 2017-2018, a graduate of the Education in Emergencies and Forced Migration Program. Her passion for Egypt and her belief in change drive her dedication to the development of the country through education and offering an opportunity to those who have none.
Foreign Affairs
After completing her master’s degree from AUC, the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, Ghada Shawky joined the ministry in 2012, where she worked in several departments, such as the Economic Affairs and the Department of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps. In 2014, Shawky started her post as a diplomatic attaché at The Egyptian Embassy in Beirut. during her four-year tenure, she was responsible for Economic and Political files. In 2018, she joined the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development, which is the first South-South Cooperation Institution in Egypt, during which she worked on capacity-building activities and humanitarian assistance provided mainly to African countries before being posted in 2020 as a Second Secretary in The Egyptian Embassy in Dar Es Salaam. After the completion of her tenure in Tanzania. Currently, Shawky is a second secretary in the Department of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cairo.
Mahmoud Khalifa graduated from The American University in Cairo in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in economics. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016 as a diplomatic attaché, and during his eight-year tenure as a professional diplomat, he worked in several departments in the Ministry, such as the consular affairs and the protocol department. Mahmoud was posted to Tanzania in 2020 as the third secretary in the Egyptian Embassy in Dar es Salaam, handling political and economic files. Notably, Khalifa was in charge of the logistical and support affairs of the official delegations participating in the COP27 conference, which was held in Sharm el Sheikh in November 2022. Currently, Khalifa is a second secretary in the protocol department, handling the operations of the international conferences held in Egypt.

Dr. Dina Zaklama is a licensed consultant clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in a wide range of psychological problems and disorders. Her specific area of expertise lies in the treatment of anxiety, depression, Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), personality disorders, as well as marital and family problems.
Dr. Zaklama is an AUC graduate and holds a PhD with excellence and honors in Clinical Psychology from Bircham International University, Delaware, USA. She also holds an equivalency from California University, USA.
She is a member of the Egyptian Psychological Association as well as the American Psychological Association. She established the Psychology Department at Al Mashfa Psychiatric Hospital and was Head of Department for ten years.

A versatile public policy expert with comprehensive experience spanning across regions like Egypt, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Europe. With specialization in policy analysis, public affairs, and communications, Seif Elnasr has successfully headed strategic initiatives and communications for renowned organizations, including TikTok, Amazon, Careem, and BP.
Her leadership at Amazon marked the groundbreaking launch in Egypt, graced by the Prime Minister of Egypt, focusing on establishing a beneficial regulatory framework and fostering internal and external relationships with high-level stakeholders. Her efforts were pivotal in securing legislative support and establishing landmark regulatory frameworks for ride-hailing businesses in Egypt with Careem, which transformed the industry outlook in the region.
At TikTok, she streamlined operations, leading strategic initiatives for content enhancement, risk management, and crisis communication, working in alignment with international compliance and local laws across MENAT, Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC) and Eurasian Economic Union regions.
Her experience extends to managing high-stakes crises like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill while at BP in London, UK, and she played a significant role in organizing large-scale local and international events and corporate engagement programs, including the London 2012 Olympics, receiving acknowledgment as a BP values and behaviors ambassador.
With a track record of advocacy for business continuity during critical times and proficient negotiations leading to favorable policy outcomes, she has also made substantial contributions to social causes, aligning organizational objectives with community needs. Her extensive efforts in digital transformation and e-commerce have resulted in commendable advancements and accreditations for organizations like Amazon, reflecting her commitment to technological evolution and digital empowerment in the e-commerce landscape.

Bassant Bahaa El-Din is a Girls Leadership and Youth Participation Advisor in Plan International Egypt with a Dual master’s degree in Comparative Middle East Politics and Societies from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and AUC. Bahaa El-Din is also a proud AUC graduate with a major in political science and two minors in economics and psychology. She dedicated her career to serving development and humanitarian causes by enhancing the lives of people, especially girls and young women, and promoting children’s rights.

Advertising and Graphic Design
Peter Halim graduated from the faculty of Pharmacy at the German University in Cairo. However, he considers himself way more of a writer than a pharmacist. During his college years, he explored as many forms of writing as he could, from Journalism as editor-in-chief of the Insider GUC to songwriting, screenwriting and copywriting, up until he landed his first job in a local advertising agency in Cairo in 2017. This paved the way to joining JWT in December 2018, where my real advertising career took off, allowing me to work on numerous blockbusters for multinational clients. Two years later, Halim started working at FP7 Mccann, then again back at JWT in May 2022 under the new operating name of Wunderman Thompson, where he was involved in the making of some of the biggest hits in my relatively short career, including Tribute to Constants-شكرًا من هنا لبكرة Vodafone Ramdan 2022 advertisement.
Content Creation
Marwan Imam is the co-founder and content lead at Peace Cake. Imam creates daringly new ideas and sees them until full bloom. As a showrunner for Emsek Nafsak with Hazem Ragheb, as well as the lead man on many of the ideas Peace Cake presents to Netflix as their content creation agency.
Fashion Design and Sustainable Fashion
Temraza has gone through a marvelous journey, from starting as a local brand to making international appearances. The brand's renowned success is owed back to its founder, creative director, and lead designer, Farida Temraz. Temraz began her fashion journey with nothing but 300$ and a sewing machine, fast forward to now, and she is Egypt’s leading designer with her brand ‘TEMRAZA’. With a BA in Integrated Marketing Communications and double minoring in Business and Psychology, Temraz became a triple threat. Her educational voyage did not stop there, she then gained her master’s in Fashion communication. Temraz is now known for designing luxury collections fabricated with the finest materials and embroidery. An advocate for education and nurturing young talents, she introduced fashion education at The American University in Cairo (AUC) under the name Temraza Fashion Studio’.
Achieving great success, she collaborated with the University on Global Fashion Entrepreneurship, a competition teaching fashion entrepreneurs how to pursue their passion professionally. Holding a title as esteemed as the First Egyptian brand to showcase its collection internationally, Temraz was invited to participate in the 2013 London Fashion Week, making her not only the first, as mentioned before, but also the youngest Egyptian to have ever done so. Temraza was showing no signs of slowing down, taking part in Paris, Los Angeles, and New York Fashion Week (NYFW); the brand also went on to do fashion shows in Beirut, Dubai, and Kuwait. Just recently, Temraza was selected among the many by the Council of Aspiring American Fashion Designers (CAAFD) to showcase its newest line La Lumiere Darcey Spring-Summer 2020, at New York Fashion Week. Amongst its noted credentials, Temraza is the first Arab brand to receive the Best Female Couture Designer Brand at NYFW 2017.
Temraza not only graces runways but also red carpets. Dressing the likes of Tyra Banks, Mary J.Blige, and Camilla Cabello, Temraz has surely taken the fashion world by storm. Amidst her many milestones, Temraz was the first Egyptian to dress a celebrity at the Oscars Awards, going further to dress the renowned country singer Carrie Underwood at the CMT Artist Awards. More of Temraz’s work can be seen on the red carpet, whether it be the Grammy’s, Emmy’s, or Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards; she has done it all.
Temraz’s success and growing list of awards are inspirational to any aspiring designer and any Egyptian, for she has brought back Egypt onto the global fashion map. Her achievements were truly cemented when she was selected to be Egypt’s Fashion Ambassador by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, North African Director at the Council of International Fashion Designers (CIFD), and North African Ambassador of the Fashion Business Association of America (FBAA).
In 2020, Temraza was once again chosen by Forbes Middle East to be amongst the great women empowering female entrepreneurship, ranking 20 out of 40 for Successful Women Behind Middle Eastern Brands. At the young age of 28, Temraz has already achieved what many dream of. Entering the world of fashion as an Egyptian was not an easy step, but with determination, talent, and hard work, she was able to penetrate not only the European market but also the American and Middle Eastern, making a name for herself as an Arab Woman. Believing that the future of fashion lies within the Middle East, Temraz continues to grow her brand while paving the way for those to come.
Going the extra mile, Temraz wrote the first fashion book in the Arab Region, Fashion Branding and Social Media: Practical Guide; this book’s success didn’t end with participating in the Cairo International Book Fair in Egypt but also participated in the international book fairs in Jordan, Tunisia, Sharjah, and many more to come. As of Temraza’s performance and efforts in bringing Egypt back to the global fashion map, Temraz has received two special awards: Gender Champion and Women’s Fashion Empowerment from the Top 50 Women Forum, to be the only receiver of these awards.
Achieving the extra milestone following Temraza’s mission, Temraz has been recognized as the first Egyptian fashion consultant for Christian Dior men’s 23 Pre-Fall Collection’s fashion show done by the pyramids. Temraz has taken the audience by surprise in a master scene at the finale of Paris Fashion week’23, raising the Egyptian flag in a moment full of pride and empowerment in a full house audience from all over the world, following Temraza’s mission of bringing Egypt back to the global fashion map, as Egypt's fashion representative.

Graphic Design
Farah Ayad has been at the forefront of the design field for over nine years. With a background in digital and below-the-line (BTL designs and designing for over 20 clients, Farah discovered her true calling in the world of packaging design. Currently leading the private label packaging design at Breakfast, her strategic thinking and artistic flair have earned her a reputation for creating captivating designs that leave a lasting impression.
Journalism
Kareem Hatem earned his BA in history and political science in 2012 and MA in TV and digital journalism in 2017, MA in Middle East studies in 2017 from The American University in Cairo. Hatem worked as a field reporter and news producer for various networks. He presented the morning show at Ten Tv from 2020 to 2022. In 2022, Hatem presented news bulletins and programs at Extra News.
Vocal Performance
Sherif El Dabaa, founder and CEO of Vocal Xtreem school, is the first authorized teacher in Egypt and the Middle East of the Complete Vocal Technique (CVT) license, having graduated from Complete Vocal Institute (CVI), one of the largest institutes and singing schools in Europe.
He has been a board member for three years in the award-winning Cairo Celebration Choir (CCC) as well as an active singer for more than ten years. He has performed in various countries such as the Czech Republic (Prague), Morocco (Rabat), and France (Paris). CCC has successfully represented Egypt and won a Silver Award in an International Choral Competition (Prague Voices) as well as a Silver Award at the World Choir Games 2016 in Russia (Sochi) for the first time in the history of the games among 30 thousand other contestants.
El Dabaa began professional coaching in 2009. His school Vocal Xtreem (VX) opened its doors in January 2017, and throughout his coaching career, which extends beyond 14 years and 25 thousand hours till now, he's had the pleasure of working with more than 5000 clients from all sorts of specializations and fields. He has worked with stars such as the diva Samira Said, Sherine Abdel Wahab, Assala Nasri, Sherihan, and Amr Moustafa, among others. El Dabaa also coaches many well-established artists and bands, including Nessma Mahgoub, Carmen Soliman, Hani Adel, Tasneem ElAidy, Ahmed Baha (Sharmoofers), Abu, Ramy Ashour, Osama Mounir, Mohamed Kelany, Ahmed El Rouby, Aly El Alfy, Marwan Pablo, Nagwan, Doaa El Sebaii, Shady Ahmed, Youssef Ismail, Noha Fekry, Nelly Cassis, Lara Scandar and many others. His work extends to actors such as Asser Yassin, Ali El Qassem, Nada Moussa, Mariam El Khosht, Nora Cheichaa, Hani Adel, Sarah Abdel Rahman, Sara Adel, Nancy Alam El Din and several others. He has worked with voice-over (VO) artists and news reporters, such as Lotfy Abdel Aziz, Marwa Khalil, Youssef El Tinawy, May Anwar and several others. He has also given voice aid to numerous people with vocal injuries, either post surgeries or due to bad or abusive vocal usage, through a vocal rehabilitation program that brings the voice back to its natural state. Additionally, he acted as the advisor, vocal coach and trainer for Samira Said’s Team in the fifth season of the TV show The Voice in 2019.
El Dabaa holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and has over 12 years of experience in the field with various multinational corporations before building his own career in vocal performance.
