University Centers for Career Development (UCCD)

AUC marked a milestone in its mission to expand its outreach and services, implementing a project that will impact roughly 1 million students at public universities.

Building on the success of AUC’s Career Center in establishing three pilot Employability and Career Development Centers at Ain Shams and Suez Canal universities, AUC was awarded on September 20, 2017, a cooperative agreement by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement the University Centers for Career Development (UCCD) Program. Over the course of four years, the project 30 sustainable career development centers at 23 public universities across Egypt.

The project aims to build the capacity of the UCCD staff, analyze labor market needs, and provide students – including students with disabilities with a wide spectrum of career and recruitment services to equip them with the employability skills sought by the job market and link them to employment opportunities.
