About AUC Career Center

The AUC's Career Center was established in 1991 to become the first university career center providing comprehensive career services in the Middle East. Drawing on over 25 years of professional expertise, our mission is to provide a solid foundation of career development principles, professional career guidance and employment services to students, alumni and employers through a centralized, comprehensive program, setting a model for capacity building in the area of career services.

In support of Egypt’s efforts to enhance formal career education in Higher Education and develop public university graduates’ employability skills, AUC was selected in 2012 to implement the pilot Employability and Career Development Centers program at two Egyptian Universities, with USAID funding. Following the success of the program, AUC’s Career Center started in 2017 to implement the USAID-funded University Centers for Career Development (UCCD) project. The project aims to establish 20 centers in 12 public universities across Egypt and provide career guidance to around 1 million students, representing almost 70 percent of Egyptian students at public universities.
