Spring 2025 Employment Fair: New Dimensions
Providing a new opportunity for AUC students and alumni, the AUC Career Center organized its semi-annual Employment Fair for Spring 2025. The event took place on Saturday, May 10, at the AUC New Cairo campus. During the event, students had ample time to discuss their questions and concerns with professionals from different fields. Professionals also gained insights into AUC students’ expectations and capabilities.
More than 2100 attendees gathered in the ARTOC Sports Court to seek out the career of their dreams. Groups of students were walking everywhere to apply for available internships and alumni circled around job representatives to find out their next steps in the job market.
“I’m graduating this semester and I’m sure I’ll find an opportunity that fits my career interests in this event,” said Kareem Asad, a mechanical engineering major.
Around 2000 career opportunities were available for students. Over 100 representatives were available at the event to facilitate the application process and to respond to all enquiries. Representatives were highly impressed with the unique qualifications AUC students and alumni maintain from an early age.
“What’s unique about AUC students is the theoretical and practical experience they have, which definitely makes them a perfect fit for our company,” said Mostafa Bayoumi, Nestle.
In reaction to attending the Spring 2025 Employment Fair, students expressed their satisfaction with the various opportunities provided and how the communication with different industries’ representatives was smooth and fruitful.
“The employment fair is the best way to create networks with employers. It also facilitates finding an internship in the summer,” said Farah Tamer, a business entrepreneurship senior student.
Valuable feedback from the Dean of Students Yorgun Marcel, wrapped up the event, who highlighted “I think it’s important for students to realize that this event isn’t only for graduates who are seeking a job; it’s also for students who are willing to gain more insights about how industries work, and the future career waiting for them.”
