A Special Day for Persons with Disabilities: Henkel's Job Shadowing Visit
In light of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, the Career Center coordinated with Henkel Egypt a job shadowing day visit exclusively for Persons with Disability (PWD). Students spent a typical working day at the Henkel headquarters and got insights from the HR team and General Manager regarding theoretical and practical topics.
In addition, AUC students explored the inside culture and functions of the company and were able to get in touch with their professional aspirations in several departments including HR, Marketing, Sales, Market Operations, Plant and Finance. Not only that but each student had the time towards the end of the day to shadow and understand more about the day-to-day tasks of their preferred career. Finally, students had a great chance to network with professionals throughout the day. As one of the students who is a Psychology major and senior class level shared about her experience, “It is a great opportunity to create connections for our future careers and form mind map to know what each one wants to do and start designing upon that”.
We would like to extend our appreciation to Henkel Egypt team for their contribution to make the day successful and looking forward for more collaboration.
