Career Circles 2025: More Engaging Experience
The annual Career Circles event was organized for the year by AUC Career Center on Thursday, October 2. The career exploration event aims to bring together representatives from different fields in one place to help students uncover real market requirements and expectations. Students with diverse interests navigated through four main career tracks to find knowledge that matches their passion. This year, the event covered around 30 career fields.
The Career Circles started with a new live panel discussion that was offered for the first time at the event. It was a unique opportunity to meet with experienced professionals talking about 360 professional wellbeing” from a well-rounded approach. Professionals covered different areas from a corporate perspective, a physical and mental angle and a psychological point of view.
The day witnessed around 500 students excitedly crowding into Moataz Al Alfi gardens, bracing themselves with their curious questions for representatives of the careers of their dreams. Students of different class standings were hanging around the gardens to meet with as many professionals as possible. They were all seeking insights into practical experiences related to their field of study.
“I find Career Circles very insightful! It gives us the chance to have a casual chat with professionals from different fields. It gave me a background about my future career,” said Khadija Ahmad, a junior MICT student.
Career Circles provides an engaging environment for students to explore their passion and decide on their upcoming steps for their intended future career. In reaction to organizing Career Circles, student attendees expressed how eye-opening and fruitful the event was.
“Professionals were informative. I was fortunate enough to meet with experienced professionals who gave me clear guidance on my plans for after graduation,” said Malak Farid, a graduating senior student majoring in electronics and communication engineering.
On the other hand, professionals were able to engage with students and connect with their misunderstandings and give them a real picture of the actual world of work. “It’s really nice to meet students whom I used to relate to a couple of years ago. And I’m happy to provide them with a different perspective that will help them in their future career,” said Zeina El-Dayashy, and AUC alumna and a current graphic designer. In addition, Alain Koloain, a fashion designer, mentioned “I’m happy to be here! I want to meet as many students as possible to encourage them on how they should grow their passion and build the career of their dreams.” At last, Raghda Moharam, an AUC alumna and a construction manager, added, “It’s a great chance to give feedback to students. I was in their place four years ago, and I understand how much such advice is essential,” said
This is not the first time for AUC Career Center to organize this event. Career Circles is an annual career exploration event that brings together students and professionals in a one-day career education event.
