AUC Career Center Wins 2026 MENASA NASPA Silver Award in Student Succes
The American University in Cairo’s Career Center has been honored with the 2026 MENASA NASPA SILVER Award for the Achievement of Merit in Student Success for its submission titled: AUC Career Exploration: Unlocking Career Roadmaps.
At the heart of this recognition are two signature experiences: Career Circles and the Job Shadowing program, which together create a powerful ecosystem of career education benefiting more than 650 students annually. This award is the first regional award for AUC Student Affairs area and for AUC's Career Center.
Career Circles is a one-day annual career education event that connects students directly with professionals across a wide range of fields. Through these roundtable ccareer discussions, students learn about career paths, required skills, and the realities of different industries, helping them make more informed choices about their futures.
The Job Shadowing program gives undergraduates the chance to observe professionals in their workplace for a full day. This hands-on exposure helps students understand daily routines, workplace culture, and how knowledge is applied in real settings.
Together, Career Circles and Job Shadowing form an integrated, scalable model that allows for career exploration in venues on and off campus, preparing AUC students to be more employable and career ready. The MENASA NASPA SILVER award underscores how this holistic approach is redefining career exploration turning abstract career planning into concrete, relatable, and transformative experiences that directly contribute to student success.
