Conference Speakers

  • AlexandreAlexandre Froment-Curtil was appointed CEO of Vodafone Egypt on January 1, 2018, he has been with Vodafone Group since 2004. Before being appointed as Vodafone Egypt CEO, he served as Vodafone Hungary CEO (2016-2017).

    Froment-Curtil has a track record of achievements in various leadership positions he held at Vodafone and its subsidiaries, including consumer director at Vodafone Hungary member of Vodafone group’s executive committee. Before that, he fulfilled the same role in Vodafone Malta between 2010-2012. He has an extensive experience in the fields of planning, operation and marketing in Germany and in the UK.

    Before joining Vodafone, he worked for companies like Booz Allen Hamilton in the UK, Synagir and Valeo in France. He acquired a diploma in economics from Paris IX University and also holds a master of science degree in telecommunications from Supelec (France) and Imperial College (UK)

  • MariamIn 2015, Moussa became a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) by the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in London, and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is passionate to work with leaders to unleash their maximum potential and to help them lead their lives and teams with purpose and aliveness.

    Discovering her true sense of purpose, she started her coaching journey. She is the founder and managing director of MMC, where she leads personal and professional individual and group coaching sessions. Her business analysis experience, educational background and career shift journey have empowered her to be a strategic thinker with a diverse set of skills and experiences that come in handy when leading and growing her own organization.

    To this date, she has coached more than 500 transformational coaching hours within corporate and to the public, capitalizing on self-leadership and intentionally leading others using the Co-Active Model for Coaching and Leadership. She has designed and led group coaching sessions and retreats for corporate and public groups, and co-created and conducted the 'Life Tuning Program', the 360 Personality Coaching Program.

    Her experience in coaching extends from Europe to the Middle East. She mentors other coaches on deepening their learning of the coaching skills and leading more transformative coaching sessions. She developed and delivered the ‘Coaching for Managers Program’ for managers in multinational and national organizations. She also partners with top training companies in Egypt to offer her coaching services for top executives in multinationals.

    As a coach and leader, she is known for her strength, courage, passion, gentle determination, understanding, compassion, warmth and sense of purpose. She contributed several articles in Insight Magazine – Egypt and was featured in two TV appearances (DMC and OnE) and one radio appearance, talking about coaching for corporate and individuals. She is the 2018 winner of the Niche Magazine Award.

    She graduated with a degree in economics and minors in business administration and architectural engineering in 2012. Prior to coaching, she had diversified experiences in research, business analysis and development within the development, fast-moving consumer goods and educational fields.

  • MagedMaged Mounir is an experienced training consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the professional training and coaching industry. He is skilled in training, coaching, negotiation, procurement, strategic planning, business process improvement and supply chain management. He is a strong human resources professional with a BA in accounting from Cairo University, Faculty of Commerce and is currently studying towards his MBA in Human Resource Development at ESLSCA Business School.

  • Hoda Hoda Hamad is a certified design thinking trainer by Zero360, Berlin. Her work in design thinking is mostly linked to the German Development Agency(GIZ) specifically with the social innovation cluster, where she has trained participants to address challenges related to the gap between blue-collar job seekers and blue-collar job providers. She has also worked with GIZ in partnership with the ITC ILO on the development of the online social innovation platform to make design thinking know-how accessible across Egypt.

    In parallel, Hamad worked as the business development lead at AlMakinah. After successfully completing AlMakinah's Full Stack Web Development Bootcamp, she combined her newly acquired technical skills, passion for education, and business know-how and channeled it towards growing Egypt's first tech school. In addition, she managed two cycles of the Women In Tech Track at AlMakinah, where she focused on running funded programs(GearUp Women Edition) to increase female participation in the tech field.

    Previously, she worked as a senior marketing and business development associate at Future Energy Corporation and was the program coordinator at SPARK Ventures. At Future Energy, she was responsible for managing a variety of marketing campaigns and managed multiple large corporate events for the company both locally and overseas. In addition, she worked on developing Future Energy Corporation's CSR arm, SPARK Ventures, through developing content for a number of new entrepreneurial education and character development programs for high school and university students, as well as managing the admission and enrollment process.

    Prior to joining Future Energy Corporation, she held marketing positions at the Four Seasons Hotel and the AUC Venture Lab. She graduated with the highest honors, from The American University in Cairo with a bachelor's in business administration and marketing and a minor in economics.

I am strongly passionate about startup strategy, innovation and sustainability and working on developing depth and expertise in the area of user-centric innovation with a focus on design thinking.

    Over and above, an avid learner, a conscientious executor, a curious researcher, I opt to learn and do all what it takes to foster entrepreneurial mindsets and help fellow entrepreneurs to leverage their skills, talents and passions to create value and build enterprises that represents their vision for a better world.

  • ShereenShereen Abdel Salam is an independent human resources management consultant whose scope of expertise involves formulating human resources strategy and organizational structure, in addition to executive consultation in the areas of talent attraction, and recruitment and selection. Abdel Salam has more than 17 years of experience in the energy, oil and gas industry. She has exceptional, well-rounded experience in all functions of human resources, including recruitment and selection, training and development, manpower and succession planning, policies and procedures, performance management, and compensation and benefits.

    Abdel Salam worked with BG Egypt for five years where she assumed the roles of chief of staff and vice president human resources. She previously assumed various roles with Schlumberger in Egypt as employee service center manager, EEG internal communications manager and IT location service delivery manager. Abdel Salam is a graduate of The American University in Cairo with a bachelor’s degree in political science.

  • CarolCarol Hammal is an Egyptian art psychotherapist based out of Cairo, Egypt and Philadelphia, USA. She is Egypt’s first trained art therapist and is considered instrumental in developing the field of art therapy in her home country. She received her master’s degree in art therapy and counseling from Drexel University in Philadelphia, which is known to be the first graduate art therapy program in the world. Her thesis topic was about introducing the iPad as an art medium in art therapy. Hammal is a digital art therapy consultant and often guest lectures about digital art therapy tools and their potential integration within clinical and medical settings. She specializes in medical art therapy.

    In Philadelphia, she has joined the American Red Cross and has been offering art therapy sessions to disaster victims at the Red Cross House. In Egypt, she continues to help develop the art therapy field in Cairo and hopes to introduce Egypt’s first art therapy graduate degree to help train other Egyptians to pursue their art therapy career. She has primarily practiced art therapy at the Behman Hospital in Egypt within its inpatient and outpatient addiction units, helping recovering addicts to use art therapy techniques as an elementary tool within their inpatient recovery. She currently continues to offer art therapy sessions in private practice settings during her frequent visits to Cairo while often guest-lecturing in universities and hospitals to promote the clinical use of art therapy within the region.

    Hammal is a member of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) membership & technology committees and presented a TEDx talk about art therapy’s development in Egypt in 2014.

  • MohamedMohamed Ali is a commercial professional with almost 10 years of experience in modern trade, traditional trade, commercial development, and marketing. He has built new businesses, managed cross-functional strategic projects, directed commercial teams on the ground, and mastered data to drive growth and exceed targets. Ali has practiced leadership early on as he served as AUC’s student union president during his college days. Needless to say, he later progressed as an accomplished leader in his work field who is passionate about growth and development for both himself and the teams he leads.

  • NaderNader Maurice has been involved in training and equipping leaders since 2003, freelancing for several large training companies before joining Red Rock International full time. He is highly skilled at helping clients clarify training needs and matching these to suitable development pathways. Insight: He initially qualified as a physician from Ain Shams University in Cairo. After completing his studies to become a doctor, he decided to pursue his passion for seeing people develop the skills and character to reach their full potential.

  • EmanEman El Mallawany brings more than twenty-five years of experience in the area of talent management and development from diverse sectors that includes oil and gas, banking, education, training and development. With an educational background in psychology (BA) and public administration (MA) reinforced with professional certifications in human resources, neurolinguistic programming and coaching, she brings to the learning environment a positive and unique note. She focuses on creating an environment to help participants become aware of how they could utilize their learning and to add value to themselves, their teams and organizations, thus contributing to the achievement of bottom line results.

    As a recognized expert in Franklin Covey’s, Ken Blanchard’s and Vital Smarts’ international programs, and with uency in both Arabic and English, she has facilitated hundreds of workshops to both local and multinational companies in Egypt and the Gulf.

  • NazliNazli Kassem is a graduate of international management from SOAS, University of London. At university, she took an avid interest in the business world, and decided to further her studies by specializing in the Chinese economy; an economic success story. She joined J. Walter Thompson Cairo as an intern – supporting on the EEDC conference and major pitches. After working on several pitches, she was hired as an account executive on the new Business team. Her next move came when she worked on and helped win the Egyptian Tourism account, which she worked on as an account executive. A naturally curious mind, Kassem subsequently moved to JWT Intelligence - an in-house ‘thinktank’ - to support the regional offices on their data requirements as an analyst. Bringing with her a new-found data background, Kassem has since moved to the planning department to fulfill her new role as a planner for the Cairo office.

  • Sue

    Sue Ellen is the executive regional legal director of Heineken (Al Ahram Beverages) and previously advisor of the minister of investment HE Dalia Khorshid as well as the country legal director of Total Egypt. She has been practicing the legal profession since 2006 and has served as a chief legal officer in Egypt in various prominent corporations in the international and regional sector as well as she has served as the legal counselor at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal court in the Hague, Netherlands. Her practice concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, project finance, civil and corporate law, antitrust, labor and dispute resolution.

    Ellen is a law school graduate from both Ain Shames University and Jean Moulin University, France. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International and Comparative Law from the American University in Cairo with high honors. Furthermore, she enrolled in the PhD program at Leicester University UK. Ellen is an adjunct professor at The American University in Cairo as well as the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and she serves as an arbitrator at the Egypt National Moot Arbitration Competition, American Bar Association.

    Ellen is a legal biographer as she has written numerous legal articles on business law, international dispute settlements and white-collar crimes and a legal fellow in various governmental entities, as well as a member at the administrative control authority in Egypt, managed by the president of Egypt.

    Ellen believes in legal development, she founded Sue Ellen Foundation for legal development and she awarded by both the French and the Finnish embassy as the best foundation in 2018 and 2019 and consistently ranked as a leading lawyer in business law by the American Bar Association in Egypt.
